PRIVACY FAQ

At Green Kids Club, we value your privacy. The following is an overview of how we use and treat any information submitted for the use of Green Kids Club, Inc. and our Kids Club on this website.

We consider your first and last name, e-mail address, street address, phone number, date of birth and credit card information to be personally identifiable information.

We support the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other frameworks like the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that endorse the protection of children and their data. Under COPPA in the United States, children for these purposes are considered to be individuals under the age of 13. This age range may vary in other countries and regions. As such, regardless of the territory that you reside in, we request adult contact information be submitted for any youth in accordance with U.S. law.

Who can register?

We limit registration to parent/adult information to opt-in to newsletters, to purchase books or to send giveaways to recipients, regardless of what type of member you are (kid, teen, adult, or educator).  Our website can be viewed and appreciated by all ages, and the activity and games at For Kids are geared for children under 12 years of age.

For any activity on our website that requires the disclosure of personally identifiable information, we may require verifiable consent from a parent or guardian before collecting or using any personally identifiable information from a child under the age of 16. In such cases, we will notify the parent or guardian of this policy and obtain verifiable consent before collecting personally identifiable information from the child, except that we may collect only the child's name and online contact information for the purpose of seeking such consent from the child's parent or guardian. When we seek consent from a parent or guardian, we will also advise the parent or guardian of the right to tell us that the personally identifiable information which we have collected for the child is not to be used for any activity other than the activity for which it was collected. A parent or guardian can request to review or have deleted from our future records all personally identifiable information collected for a child and/or to permit no further use of that personally identifiable information by contacting us at the address below.

What do you do with the information I give you when I register?

If you opt-in to any of our newsletters, we may use this information to send you the newsletter. If you submit your mailing address, we also may use this information to send you purchases or giveaways. Kids Club members may also receive birthday cards or communications regarding the Kids Club.

Unless you ask us not to or have otherwise opted out of receiving communications from us, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about sales, new book releases or other related products or programs, or changes to this privacy policy.

What happens when I sign up for your Kids Club?

Kids Club membership is designed for children under the age of 12 to learn about the environment and animals. During registration, we do ask for birthdate information and a physical address so that we can send the child a birthday card and/or gift, giveaway, promotional items, etc. We also ask for creation of a username and password, for the user to access their private Kids Club account, as well as an email address. Email is the primary means of communication for the Kids Club and is used sparingly.

The Kids Club’s purpose is for children to learn about the earth, the environment, and the animals that inhabit it. This is achieved by engaging with the child through thought-provoking, environment-related questions in an online setting. Answered questions are worth points and tallied in member accounts. Upon reaching certain point/question milestones, Green Kids Club may have rewards available to send to the Kids Club member, using the contact information provided.

Opting Out
